Rental Space

Westdale United Church offers several spaces for your rental needs. 

We are a bright and accessible building all on one level, with a large parking lot area.  You will also find us along the City bus route.

Henderson Hall 

Specifications:

  • attached full kitchen features – two stoves, microwave, fully stocked with dishes and utensils, coffee & tea urns, industrial dishwasher. (Additional fees for use of appliances and dishes
  • 10’ X 10’ electronic projection screen mounted on North wall

  • accommodates approximately 250 people with chairs set-up only, or 150 people with 5’ round tables and 8 chairs/table

Additional Features

  • Room Set Up:   The set-up and take down of tables/chairs according to the Renter’s preferred layout is available for a fee of $50.00.  Otherwise, the Renter can look after their own set up/take down with the many supplied tables and chairs. This applies to the rental of Henderson Hall and the Overflow Room only.   Both Classroom #2 and #4 have a pre-set arrangement and must be put back to the original floor plan if rearranged by the Renter.
  • Deposit:   Renters wishing to book their meeting/event outside of office hours must pick up a key from the office at an agreed upon time leaving a $10.00 cash deposit. This is refundable after the rental is over, the facility has been inspected, and the key returned.
  • Payment:   Fees are to be paid at the time of booking, unless other arrangements have been made.  We accept cash or cheque only (made out to Westdale United Church).
  • Insurance:   All Renters must supply the office with a copy of their 3rd Party Liability Insurance Certificate showing Westdale United Church as the Certificate Holder for the rental dates requested.   
  • If renting for 5 or more consecutive days or weeks, rates are subject to a 10% discount.
  • CANCELLATIONS LESS THAN ONE WEEK BEFORE THE RENTAL DATE ARE SUBJECT TO A PENALTY OF 20% OF THE RENTAL FEE.
  • ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND SMOKING ARE NOT PERMITTED
